The Listening Place
The common thread in the interviews conducted on “The Listening Place” is an interest in who we are, our purpose in life and the awakening of consciousness. As bleak as life often appears, underneath is an evolution of good. “The Listening Place” encourages awareness of that “good.”
In interviewing such luminaries of loving awareness as Jane Goodall, writer/director Terry George and Sister Helen Prejean, author of “Dead Man Walking,” “The Listening Place,” enjoys tracking and supporting good ideas that are blossoming in the world.
There is a universal idea of a peaceful, joyful way of living where there is good will among individuals, harmony in the community, and loving-intelligence applied to the solving of problems. Yet, the sense of ill-will, and self-centered action seems to dominate. Fear is contagious, and it is easy to think and act as if there is no good will, so “I might as well just take care of myself and my family as best I can.”
The Listening Place is interested in providing a multitude of role models for good will – recognizing that what is truly good for one is good for all.
